August 19th, 2010 by DEVIL FISHPretty cool isn’t it? Well, this is just a concept created by ADR-Studio, an Italian design firm, and has yet to be built. The creators themselves admit it is impossible for this to happen as of now, but it is an interesting concept.
.
These are some of the features it would have:
- Aluminium body
- WiFi and Bluetooth
- Integrated RSS Reader
- 16GB;
- Weather forecast system;
- Possibility to connect to the Bluetooth or WiFi to iPhone / iPad
- LCD projector to show everywhere pictures by your iPhone / iPad

ANTI-DESIGN FESTIVAL 2010
August 3rd, 2010 by LIGERWe are happy to announce that THING has just submitted work for the ANTI-DESIGN FESTIVAL in London. Here is a description:
“The Anti-Design Festival is a new event that wlll run parallel with and in opposition to the London Design Festival, promoting work that “challenges contemporary stereotypes.” For Neville Brody, the organizer of the fair this means being “uncommercial, dangerous and anti-establishement,” and, apparently exhibiting alongside people like Jonathan Barnbrook, Stuart Semple and Stefan Sagmeister. Though we aren’t sure you have to be anti-commercial to be radical, we’re looking forward to seeing the results.”
Motivational Calendar
June 16th, 2010 by DEVIL FISHFor those of us that need a little push to keep us going after a few weeks of exercising, this calendar is just the perfect thing to have around. Companhia Athletica, a network of gyms located in Brazil, has come up with a great way to keep their clients motivated, by showing them their progress of loosing weight throughout the year.

i-Phone 4
June 8th, 2010 by DEVIL FISH+
Whether you’re an Apple junkie, or not, you all have to agree the design to this new i-phone 4 is absolutely fantastic! It’s so sleek and elegant looking by having not only the front made of glass, but the back side as well. This new version is 24% thinner than the last i-phone 3GS, making it the thinnest smart phone on the planet. The photos were released yesterday during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2010), where Steve Jobs announced it will be available on June 24, 2010. Here are more photos to drool over.

This one is funny and slightly disturbing, but the concept is great. These jackets and hoodies created by Sander Reijgers, are made out of materials from blow-up sex dolls. He quotes, “I customize existing tracksuit tops with parts of the blow-up dolls – the head, the breasts, the vagina, the anus. These dolls are so ugly and vulgar that turning them into something beautiful has become a challenge for me.”

THING <3s NYC
March 8th, 2010 by LIGERSneak Preview from my trip to MOMA. Some of you may already know that part of THING is in NYC at the moment. No, it’s not because I’m special (yeahhhh, I know what you’re thinking), but because I had BUSINESS to take care. YEP. Serious business. I don’t just throw that word around lightly either. I feel like the guys in Madmen, pouring my whiskey shot then walking into a serious meeting. The “thing” (he he… cheap-shot) is, it’s hard NOT to notice the visual inspiration around every corner, animate or inanimate, that covers every square inch of this kooky city. I’m wondering if THING should move our spacehub to NYC? If you have any thoughts about this, you know I’m all ears, em, eyes, em, fingers, em.. whatever it is I feel like. Maybe it will be a pickle that day. Who knows? But back to the point, here is a little taste of what I saw at MOMA. Can you believe it’s $20 to get in there?? I think London spoiled me with her free museum stuff.
On a side note, there was this awesome video installation happening corresponding with the new show on at the MET called The Nose. Looked and sounds really great. I wanted to go tonight but it was sold out aside from the over a zillion dollar seats. Here’s a promo video similar to the ones playing at MOMA.
