This video always puts a smile on my face. I’m guessing this is where and how Americas Best Dance Crew began.

THE WILDERNESS DOWNTOWN

September 2nd, 2010 by DEVIL FISH

The Wilderness Downtown” is an interactive film by Chris Milk, featuring “We Used To Wait” by Arcade Fire. This is considered by Chris Milk, more of an interactive art project in the form of a music video. The film utilizes Google maps technology by asking you to plug in the address of the house where you grew up.  It’s really interesting to see how far we’ve come with technology, but I won’t say any more so you can get the full experience of the movie.

David Wilson’s Garden of Eden

July 13th, 2010 by LIGER

Director David Wilson for new Skream track- Garden of Eden.

The video mixes live action and stop motion to depict Adam’s first encounter with Eve. As the making-of shows, the project was no small undertaking, involving an army of art directors and prop makers. Wilson also collaborated with illustrator and animator Joseph Mann to create the claymation effects in the video, with the duo using a rarely-seen technique called Strata-Cut.

Up There – Trailer

UP THERE, a film directed by Malcom Murray
Watch the full 10 minute movie HERE

Sure we all see large format advertising on side of buildings made of vinyl banners and drive past them without giving it a second thought, but there are a few people out there, that still hand paint large ads with the utmost detail. This film shows us the love and passion these artists have for their craft, which unfortunately, is on the verge of extinction with today’s technology. At the end of the short film, they show a 20 X 50 foot stop-frame animation created by the same artists, which took over 3 weeks of painting for ‘The Ritual Project.’ It is a MUST SEE!!

McDonald’s Supports Gays!

June 10th, 2010 by LIGER

McDonald’s recently put out an ad (by BETC Euro RSCG in Paris) celebrating it’s diverse clientele through the interaction between a father and his gay teenage son. You can imagine the ad, directed by French cinema director Xavier Giannoli, has caused quite a stir. The other two in the series include two ’silver surfers’ shown adopting new identities online, and a more traditional third.

This post comes to you from CRblog.
