Kolarbyn is called Sweden´s most primitive hotel. It is a natural refuge for silence, wilderness and adventure in a beautiful forest setting just a couple of hours away from the capital Stockholm. This can be a great place to run away from the city and live the adventures of a hobbit for a couple of weeks.  Kolarbyn consists of twelve little forest huts, that by the way are way too cute, located in a glade by the lake Skärsjön. There is no electricity but live candles and a crackling fire place that will guide you asleep. After a silent night you slowly wake up to a bird´s song and a fresh swim in the lake.

For those of us that need a little push to keep us going after a few weeks of exercising, this calendar is just the perfect thing to have around. Companhia Athletica, a network of gyms located in Brazil, has come up with a great way to keep their clients motivated, by showing them their progress of loosing weight throughout the year.

Sure we all see large format advertising on side of buildings made of vinyl banners and drive past them without giving it a second thought, but there are a few people out there, that still hand paint large ads with the utmost detail. This film shows us the love and passion these artists have for their craft, which unfortunately, is on the verge of extinction with today’s technology. At the end of the short film, they show a 20 X 50 foot stop-frame animation created by the same artists, which took over 3 weeks of painting for ‘The Ritual Project.’ It is a MUST SEE!!

McDonald’s recently put out an ad (by BETC Euro RSCG in Paris) celebrating it’s diverse clientele through the interaction between a father and his gay teenage son. You can imagine the ad, directed by French cinema director Xavier Giannoli, has caused quite a stir. The other two in the series include two ’silver surfers’ shown adopting new identities online, and a more traditional third.

Whether you’re an Apple junkie, or not, you all have to agree the design to this new i-phone 4 is absolutely fantastic! It’s so sleek and elegant looking by having not only the front made of glass, but the back side as well. This new version is 24% thinner than the last i-phone 3GS, making it the thinnest smart phone on the planet.  The photos were released yesterday during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2010), where Steve Jobs announced it will be available on June 24, 2010.
