We are happy to announce that THING has just submitted work for the ANTI-DESIGN FESTIVAL in London. Here is a description:

“The Anti-Design Festival is a new event that wlll run parallel with and in opposition to the London Design Festival, promoting work that “challenges contemporary stereotypes.” For Neville Brody, the organizer of the fair this means being “uncommercial, dangerous and anti-establishement,” and, apparently exhibiting alongside people like Jonathan Barnbrook, Stuart Semple and Stefan Sagmeister. Though we aren’t sure you have to be anti-commercial to be radical, we’re looking forward to seeing the results.”

Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2010

Now through October 17th, you can visit London’s Kensington Gardens to see French architect Jean Nouvel’s design of the Serpentine Gallery’s 10th commission for their annual summer pavilion. Aside from being red and amazing to look at, there’s a crop of fun inside, including bar stools with bicycle pedals, ping-pong tables, chess and backgammon sets, and plenty of lounge areas. This year also marks the Serpentine’s 40th Anniversary. Admission to the Pavilion is free.

The promotional campaign for the super hilarious blog Stuff White People Like. Posters on sale for $10. It was hard to pick which to showcase because they’re all so true.
